Ok I know I said the last makeover was my favorite but this one is too good! Rob and I decided to give my mom’s house another makeover with the help of The Home Depot and I absolutely love how it turned out. My mom’s dining room started off  very simple with just a few decor pieces and lots of family pictures (some were originals from my great-great grandfather!). We will definitely be finding a special home for those pictures soon. We wanted to create a more modern take on the traditional style my mom loves. Luckily, The Home Depot has so many gorgeous pieces to chose from! Not only does their furniture and decor pieces fit the vibe, they are also amazing quality (the buffet alone was so sturdy and well made). Make sure you check out the links at the bottom of this post and let’s get into the makeover!
Step 1: Just like the living room makeover, I ALWAYS start with a mood board. This helps me visualize all of the furniture and decor in one place. It’s so easy to add images from The Home Depot’s website and play around with where I want each piece to go in the room.
Step 2: Paint! We decided to go with a pure white paint to match the other rooms in the house. The original wall color with a little too warm and this one is perfect!
Step 3: Time for handyman Rob! Thankfully my husband was able to bring in the buffet, install curtains and put together a bunch of furniture. He’s honestly the best!
Step 4: Put everything together! The styling is my favorite part, I love playing around with furniture and decor placement. This is when the room really comes to life 🙂
