With the holiday’s right around the corner, I knew I wanted to create warm and cozy spaces around my house. The first place I wanted to tackle was the living room so that I could cuddle on the couch to watch a movie with the fireplace burning. Wayfair was the first place that came to mind when thinking of what decor and furniture I needed to make my vision come to life. You seriously cannot beat their affordable prices and super fast shipping. It only took two days for everything to arrive at my door! I’ve mentioned before how Wayfair has a large variety of different home decor ranging from contemporary and maximalistic to traditional and minimalist. I’ve been trying to slowly switch my decor from modern to traditional, so you’ll notices a new style with the Wayfair pieces I selected and I love how it turned out!
The first piece I knew I wanted was a floor lamp, cozy lighting makes such a difference in any space. It makes the room instantly feel warm and cozy. It’s perfect because with the time change its going to be darker earlier and we’ll actually need more lamps. Again, this lamp has a more traditional style which automatically makes it a timeless decor choice. Plus, the gold color complements the other metals and tones going on in the room.
The next item I selected is this gorgeous traditional side table. I have had my eye on this piece for awhile now and thought this was the perfect time to pull the trigger. When I first show this item to my mom, her exact words were “Aw I love it, reminds me of your grandmothers furniture.” and I couldn’t agree more. My great-grandfather was a carpenter and would make pieces just like this one! The quality of this side table is incredible and I love the warm toned wood. I can picture myself cuddled under a blanket and resting hot chocolate (and my phone) on this table while watching a holiday movie.
The last two items I added to the living room and these plaid pillow covers and pillow inserts. I knew I wanted, say it with me, a traditional style pillow to compliment the rest of the furniture and these are perfect! It’s a patterned that’s not too “loud” or overpowering for the space. The scalloped details are just too cute. Additionally the Wayfair pillow inserts make them very soft.
